Highlights from our incredibly friendly, fun-filled and enjoyable Highfields Festival 2018 and which bore witness to its strapline of ‘Celebrating Diversity and Unity in the Community’. Thanks to all the artists, attendees, staff & volunteers, especially to Lowkey for an incredibly powerful & fitting performance and linking his music to global struggles for freedom & justice and for his comment about the vital role fulfilled by Highfields Centre in providing much needed community (education and development) services in severely disadvantaged areas, especially when faced with draconian cuts from central and especially, local government! Also, special thanks to Dwight Jones, our new L.E.A.P. Studios recording engineer for ensuring the music flowed smoothly and without a hitch throughout the various performances.
