HCA’s Journey to Economic Independence

This is the story of our journey to economic independence, following our achievement of community governance in December 2010 (see https://bit.ly/2K7c2aK). It documents the struggles and successes of a well-known community centre located in the heart of a largely disadvantaged inner-city area of Leicester, in the face of a hostile and autocratic city mayoral system which was imposed on its inhabitants without any referendum being held!
